Curly Ash, Carved, bleached and dyed. 9" H x 6" D. This was an experiment in carving through a vessel. Once carved, it cried out to be a flame, so I then experimented with aniline dyes. Coloring with dyes turned out to be harder than I anticipated. I bleached the wood first to get a more uniform color as a base before applying the dye.
